I have been back in the DR now for just over a month. It's been great being back with friends, attending my home church, and staying in the same place for more than a week. haha. It's been plenty busy, though. We are currently preparing for our second annual national camp-out in Punta Cana, DR. This coming Monday, we are hosting a fundraiser for the event. We're hoping to provide transportation for all the surfers on the North Coast to arrive in Punta Cana for free. They will still pay a camp-out fee, but will arrive free of cost via bus. Please be praying as we organize the fundraiser and that God would continue to lead us as we minister to surfers from all over the island. it is easily one of our biggest events of the year here in the DR and we could use all the grace we could get.The Camp-out is October 5-7.
On the 22nd of this month, I jump on another plane to visit Christian Surfers Puerto Rico for a quick trip. Puerto Rico is the closest mission to us here in the DR so I am very excited to see what kind of comradery we can establish.
All has been going well with New Missions as well. We've had two mission teams in since I've been back and I've been filling the shoes of our main administer for the month of September as he is back in the States on furlough. Above is a picture of an event our Health Center put on to help a patient needing a surgery. Nothing is better than cotton candy.
